Our schools are central to Groton’s future, and they deserve consistent, reliable support. I will advocate for increased state funding while working locally to ensure long-term financial stability. By planning proactively and prioritizing education in our budgeting, we can avoid year-after-year cuts and provide the stability our students, educators, and families need to succeed.

Protecting Groton’s Character

Groton’s character is one of its greatest strengths, and we must protect it while planning for long-term financial sustainability. Rather than over-relying on property taxes, we should explore diversified revenue sources—such as small-scale local business development, grants, and thoughtful economic initiatives—that align with our values. This approach allows us to support town services without placing undue burden on residents or compromising the identity that makes Groton unique.

Affordability for Families & Seniors

Keeping Groton affordable means ensuring that families can put down roots and seniors can remain in the community they helped build. We should expand access to property tax relief programs for seniors and explore additional supports such as housing options that meet changing needs, utility and cost-of-living assistance, and partnerships with local organizations to connect residents to available resources. By taking a proactive, community-centered approach, we can reduce financial pressure while preserving stability and belonging across generations.
